分数

不要误会,我不是要讲考试考到多少分的分数,而是说数学课里将一个圆形切成一半就变成了两个二分之一的“分数”。(一笑)

话说两个多星期前学校刚复课时,不记得是哪一天了,承懿在晚餐时告诉我说李老师讲下个星期二学校一年一度的数学比赛。老师还说一年级会考二年级的、二年级会考三年级的、三年级会考四年级的。。。以此类推。我心里暗地里高兴 :“这小子终于学会听重点了,之前两年的比赛之前都没听他回来说过比赛的范围,是好事!”。。。后来我搞清楚了,承懿跟我说这些是因为他要学四年级的分数和小数点,而且要在这短短几天里学。学校三年级的分数很简单,最基本那种,如什么是分母什么是分子,1/2 = 3/6,5/5=1,1/2大过1/3 还有一个图案里涂黑的部分是几分之几,就这些而已。小数点三年级压根儿没教。

这孩子应该是“怕输” (之前两年他有幸获奖啊),所以自动要求学习。且不论他会不会得奖(不是那么重要),但是他会自动要求我先教 (teach in advance),这种“求知欲”妈咪倒是很欢迎。

接下来几天在有限的时间里,母子俩要做无限的事情。分数普通的加减法ok、不同分母的加减法有些难度,小数点里的加减容易,但5 乘100 变成500除1000 变成0.005 的那些零零零搞到我们有些头昏脑胀。还好有一两天胖爸爸早下班回来还会自动请缨教儿子来个教学亲子乐,妈咪当然无任欢迎。该教的都已倾囊相授,承懿到时派不派得上用场就不得而知了。

星期二数学比赛那天中午送承懿上学,
他说 :“妈咪,我的心怦怦怦在跳,紧张啦!”
我笑他:“你short-short!紧张帮不到你的,你要冷静。看清楚题目再作答。字体写好一点。ok?”他点点头:“Mom, slow and steady win the race, right?"
我说:“Exactly!You know that very well."
又是妈咪说大道理的时候了。
"Sam, just TRY YOUR BEST! As long as you had tried your best, mom and dad are very happy. Please dont think about if you are going to win a prize or something like that, that is not important. Stay focus and do. Try your best, that 's good enough."
"If I can win then it'll be better...."
"Ya, mom understand. If you can win, that's good, But if you cant win, never mind. Because you had tried your best! And you had learnt some new knowledge, which is Standard 4 Maths. That is very good! You are a winner already. 明白吗?”
“I do, mom."

承懿你明白就好了,要真的明白哦!

  1. Hahaha.... this lil fellow also like his mum, "kiasu". Ok lar, at least he has the initiative to learn. Like you said, winning a prize isnt that important, as long one learns something from it.

  2. hello...kiasu is always better than kiasi lah! haha. Think a little bit of kiasu has no harm, it pushes us to move forward, right?
